Cupping

Cupping is a traditional Chinese technique that relies on negative pressure, creating suction on the skin, as opposed to the tissue compression techniques that are normally used during a massage.

Suction cups are used to pull blood to the surface of the skin, which is thought to improve circulation and promote healing. Cupping therapy helps relieve aching muscles, releases joint stiffness, and may reduce inflammation for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

During your session, therapist will position plastic or silicone cups at targeted areas of the body producing a vacuum effect that helps improve overall circulation. The cups may be left in position for a few minutes at a time while other areas of the body are being worked on and/or moved back and forth or dragged in the areas that need the treatment.

The intent of this therapy is to stimulate the function of the circulatory and lymphatic systems. It may also help to release congested tissues and loosen adhesions at superficial tissues of the body.

This can be Added to your massage therapy treatment for $15
